How did your interest in becoming an adult artist emerge?
In all honesty, the simplest way to answer this is being a pervert. I love porn! Prior to joining the adult industry, many a days and nights were spent scouring tube sites. Can I say I was a gooner before gooning became mainstream?
What’s your favorite thing about being able to express yourself and your creativity through adult content?
I take great pride and hold significant privilege in being able to thrive in a career that I love. Do what you love and never work a day in your life right? That inner exhibitionist lives for showing off my seductive allure.
What inspired you to get involved with the great folks over at Pineapple Support?
Via my own struggle with accepting my depression, I came to value the great importance of mental health. I was lucky enough that Pineapple Support reached out to Grooby, a trans porn studio, in recruiting new ambassadors. I’m ever grateful for Grooby in thinking of me and connecting me with the wonderful folks at Pineapple Support.
In your opinion, what’s the most constructive mindset to have in order to break the taboo of therapy and seeking help when it is needed?
We have to accept that we deserve help. At least within my own journey in mental health, I struggled with feeling like I was worthy of getting help. The inner saboteur tells us help won’t work. They won’t understand us. Our troubles aren’t worth therapy. No matter how great or small, we all can benefit from therapy.
Considering all you’ve achieved and overcome, what is the most important lesson you’ve learned in life and your career?
Do not fall for imposter syndrome, and walk your own path. Being trans and also being in a career based on our physical aesthetics, it’s so easy to compare yourself to others and not feel good enough. I struggled with this myself. With the help of therapy, I was able to break through and realize I shouldn’t compare myself to others. I’m me. Nobody else is. I’m not them. I never will be. Look within and flourish.
You’ve worked on many scenes like Throuples Retreat and Creampies On My Mind for Transfixed, and you’ve also participated in projects for AdultTime like Too Many Tops and the amazing Muses. Out of all the scenes you’ve been involved in so far, which one has been your favorite and why?
Muses will always hold a special place as I was able to come up with the theme myself and celebrate my Japanese culture. But from recent work, I looovvveeeddd Throuples Retreat. Bella Joie had already been my friend and that was our first time working together. Such a joy to just be comfortable with friends and make hot porn. Also Reese Rideout is so hot and such a gentleman, and I love being filmed by Jim Powers and his team.
Is there someone who you would love to do a scene with, but haven’t had a chance to yet?
Asa Akira! She was such a role model getting into porn. When I was first getting into porn I read her autobiography and felt so connected with her. Filming together would be a dream.
Besides your interest in the One Piece Trading Card Game, what other aspects of geek culture interest you?
Anime! I was born in Japan so naturally I grew up watching anime. There are so many beautiful stories and pure works of art within that medium. It’s so great seeing how popular anime has become in Western media. Anybody else blown away by Demon Slayer in theater?
What do you treasure most about being able to bond with your fans through your hobbies and your work?
That I can bring even a shred of joy to someone’s life. That’s magic. Through the consumption of my work that thousands of people can enjoy that dopamine rush. The exhilaration of fulfilling that lustful itch. Maybe it can sound silly but I take immense pride in making so many feel good.
