Alex Bishop is an Independent Artist that has been active in the Adult Industry for the past six years. Camgirlallaccess recently had the opportunity to sit down with Alex to discuss her career and upcoming projects.
How did you get involved in the adult industry?
I began my journey in the adult industry after having my hours suddenly cut at a restaurant that I had been waitressing at. I immediately started looking online for work as I was the sole provider for my family and my backup gig as a yoga teacher wasn’t paying the bills. I randomly found an adult site (Mygirlfund) claiming I could sell photos and video clips. I immediately got to work.
I was super nervous because I had never done anything like it. I wasn’t a big fan of social media or taking photos of myself. It was all new to me. I remember checking my phone at work and seeing a lot of sales, I quickly began making more money than I ever did at my day job. Within 3 months, I was one of the top sellers on the site. It allowed me to quit waitressing, which was extremely empowering and I bought my first laptop so I could cam. I was officially a self employed, independent artist.
I started up a Snapchat which was also successful and finally made a name for myself in the industry. I branched out to Manyvids and Onlyfans and got more serious about creating clips. Within a year, I reached my goal of moving from Las Vegas to California. Finding this work literally changed my life. It gave me the confidence back that I lost during my marriage, and enabled me to live life on my terms with a sense of freedom I had never experienced before.
Do you have any memories of the first scene that you filmed?
The first clip that I filmed was a custom video. Looking back at it, I cringe a little because I’ve gotten so much better with time. I was very nervous, but not as nervous as I was doing live cam. I’m alone when making clips, and I know I can edit things or not release them. Being live is very different. To this day, I get a little anxious during cam. My fans say I put on an amazing show, but live camming has never been my favorite. I don’t do it often anymore. I really enjoy filming clips and view it as a creative outlet. It’s fun to role play and act out fantasies.
Is there anything that you would like to do in your career that you haven’t had a chance to do yet?
I’m a single parent and I have a very tight schedule. I’ve had a lot of fun creating and am happy with my success. I hope to work with other creators one day. I don’t see myself retiring anytime soon, so maybe in my 40’s I’ll branch out more. My dream is to help produce work for others and give them a comfortable, safe space to film. It would be fun to get behind the camera and also have some very high quality content of myself. So far, I’ve only done solo amateur work.
What upcoming projects can your fans look forward to in the near future?
In the near future, I’ll be creating more clips than ever before! Just this year I’ve filmed 100. I am able to get a lot more filming done because of the support I’ve gotten through video sales, fan club subscribers, and custom vid purchases. I don’t have to rely on cam income anymore which drained my energy a lot. Look out for a lot more clips in 2021 and more spoiling for my fan club subscribers.
What would you consider to be your top 2 clips that you are most proud of?
I have 400+ clips and hundreds of retired one’s so choosing two is not an easy task!
I’ll go with “Yoga Pants” because I just love how the editing and video came out, it’s filthy and perfect. It also happens to be one of my best sellers.
My second is “The Trick” a cosplay of The Dark Knight Joker, it’s absolutely insane and disturbing. It is equally hot and terrifying. Plus it cracks me up.
These two clips are very different from one another and show my range as an actress.
