Our sincere gratitude for this interview during a month so significant to many. Thank you to our participant and please enjoy the following read.
How did you get started in the adult industry?
I was listening to a podcast a few years ago, and one of the hosts made an off-hand comment about finding a streaming site where people were playing video games naked. The site he was talking about was Plexstorm. I went to the site, liked what I saw, and decided to try to stream there. I only got to do a few streams there before the site went defunct. I enjoyed the combination of the adult nature with the gaming aspect, and went to look for another similar site.
In April 2022 I found Joystick, and have been here ever since.
What have you found to be one of the most challenging parts of what you do throughout your work?
I’ve learned two things from my experience on Joystick. One is learning how to step away from being an entertainer and take time for myself. I enjoy making content for my fans, both on stream and off stream, and I forget to spend some time to myself. I enjoy what I do and I work hard to get better at my craft, but sometimes learning how to step back and do something for myself is hard to do.
The other is being confident in myself. Just because others are perceived to be doing better than me doesn’t mean that I am doing a bad job. I’ve learned to celebrate my small victories. I may not have gotten 100 followers in a night like another streamer received in a night, but I did get five of my own, and that’s five more than I had before the night started.
I know you’ve recently taken part in charitable activities. Would you like to talk about that more and go into detail?
I have always been open about my mental state. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 2019 and have been on medications and in therapy sessions ever since to combat it. I don’t think that we talk about mental health enough in the country, and I wanted to use Mental Health Awareness Month to shine a light on the issue.
That’s why I chose the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as my charity. Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
In May of 2023 I did my inaugural charity stream for the AFSP on Joystick with ZenDen and GrungePanzer, and we raised $860 for the foundation that day. I was blown away by the support of the Joystick community. I didn’t expect to raise that much money for the charity. After the tremendous success of that one, I knew I wanted to do more charity events.
I wanted to do two charity events a year roughly six months apart. This meant the next one would fall in November. One of the Joystick devs suggested doing a Veteran’s Day charity stream, since that holiday doesn’t tend to get as much attention as others. One of the stream guests, GrungePanzer, suggested a charity called Paws For Heroes. Paws for Heroes is a nonprofit that rescues homeless dogs and professionally trains them to serve as companion dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD, at no cost to the veteran. On Veteran’s Day of 2023 we raised $700 for the charity. Overall in 2023 we raised over $1500 for both charities.
In May of 2024 I’m doing the second annual charity stream for the AFSP, with a goal of $1500. We had a lot of support for the first few charity streams and I am confident we can reach the goal this year.
What have you found to be one or more of the most rewarding parts of what you do in the adult industry?
Normalizing the human body and normalizing sex. There is a huge stigma of the sex worker space, and I want to show others that it isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out?
Be yourself. It’s fine to take notes from other entertainers, find out what’s working for them, find out what you like about them, but make it all your own. Finding your own way to stream and entertain takes time. I’ve been streaming for two years and I’ve just now fleshed out my streamer persona. People can know instantly when you’re fake. Be genuine and be yourself.
Do you have any projects approaching, anything interesting coming up that you’d like to chat about?
I’ve had an idea on a video game that I always wanted to create but never had the time to. I’m taking about two months off of work because of a surgery, so I’ll have plenty of time to work on it. I don’t think I’ll finish it, but as long as I can make some headway that’s all that matters. The thing I’m really excited about the game is that I plan on writing original music for it. I used to write music back in the day but never had the time recently to continue that hobby, and this is a way for me to get back into it.
Do you have any specialties, kinks or fetishes that you participate in or enjoy?
I’m unnaturally good at rhythm games. I used to live in Kansas and the only form of entertainment me and my friends had was a DDR machine in the local mall. I played DDR for over 20 years alongside other rhythm games like IIDX and Pop ‘N Music. I’m currently playing DJMax Respect and loving the game.
What’s your views on the different events held by the adult industry such as expos and awards?
I think adult expos and awards legitimize the adult industry. The video game industry was in a similar situation. Video games were seen as toys for children until expos like the Game Developers Conference and E3 were a thing, and the Video Game Awards further strengthened their legitimacy. A lot more work has to be done to reduce and remove the stigma of adult entertainment, but expos and awards are a good first step. I personally haven’t been to any adult entertainment expos or awards, but I would love to attend one in the future.
Are there any other events outside of the adult industry that you enjoy?
I attend a lot of furry conventions and events, both local and statewide. I went to my first 21+ anime convention last year, Akeome Con (formerly Ahegao Con), and had a lot of fun.
Most importantly, would you like to list all the places folks can find you and your socials?
