Legal Brothel Celebrates Heritage with Wild West-Themed Event

The Resort at Sheri’s Ranch, the most exclusive licensed brothel near Las Vegas, is hosting a Wild West Hoedown event on Friday October 11 and Saturday October 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the brothel in Pahrump, Nevada. The event is a celebration of the old frontier, featuring an authentic Wild West atmosphere with live entertainment, line dancing, music, and classic Western barbeque.
Dena, the madam of Sheri’s Ranch, along with the courtesans, selected a Wild West theme for the brothel’s latest event to honor the rich history of sex workers in the American West, recognizing that brothels positively impacted the economic and social growth of the Wild West, with sex workers often using their earnings to build businesses and infrastructure in 19th century mining towns.
“As a modern-day madam, I look back and see how sex workers could be considered the backbone of the Wild West,” Dena said. “Old West madams built communities, drove the economy, and owned businesses when few others could. Just like today, these women were entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity and made something out of nothing, helping to shape the frontier into what it became: a bastion of freedom and opportunity.”
The Friday night event will feature a gunfight performance by the Pahrump Gunfighters Club, followed by a comedy show and line dancing. Saturday night showcases a special musical performance by several Sheri’s Ranch courtesans, with a live country band and dancing. Both nights include a barbeque dinner.
This is the brothel’s inaugural Wild West celebration, but the madam says it will become an annual event for revelers to look forward to.
