ABOUT SHANTEL EVANS:
Shantel Evans is an entrepreneur and trailblazer, whose diverse educational background and extensive experience have been instrumental in her success. As a Black woman and champion of cultural and gender diversity in tech, Evans has pioneered LuxyList, a platform that is not only Black-owned but also women-run and led—making it a first of its kind in the content creator gifting space.
Evans’ career began with a distinguished tenure in the U.S. Air Force, where she served in notable capacities, including at Cape Canaveral for the USAF Space Command and Misawa Air Base in Japan. She expertly led six joint U.S. Air Force/Japanese Air Defense Force construction projects, managing $2.6 million in ground repairs without incident. Her tenure also included two tours in Iraq during the Iraq War, where her strategic planning and leadership were crucial to mission success.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Medical Studies with a Minor in Peace Studies from Manhattan College, a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Columbia University, and a Construction Management Certificate also from Columbia. In addition, she completed the Air Force’s Airman Leadership School and holds a 7-level craftsman course certification.
In 2023, Evans founded The Primestone Group, a construction consulting firm that leverages her military and construction expertise to provide comprehensive solutions across the industry. As President, she oversees all aspects of business operations, strategy, and client relations. Her strategic leadership has driven the firm’s growth, and her role encompasses Program & Construction Oversight, Dispute Resolution and Claims Consulting, Project Performance Management, and Litigation Support.
