Meet the “genre and label defying” porn star, who won the 2024 TEAs Best Transmasc Performer Award, and discuss the perception of gender identity with us. We talk about where Jaq has been in his career, literally and figuratively, from taking nude selfies in the Bay Area in 2020 to being featured in a film festival in Athens in 2024.
Jaq notes the many complex differences between California and Amsterdam, and how difficult though rewarding the move has been for them. We explore the type of content Jaq enjoys creating and featuring on his site, that highlights “authentic queer porn,” as well as “POV roleplay” style of content – both solo and in collaboration with other queer and/or trans artists.
Quicksilver gives us a rundown of how they got started with their site Jaqxxx.com and what you can expect from it, as well as tips for creators on how to run your own site. We discuss fetishes, and Jaq making transmascs getting pegged an artform, as well as the delightful concept of “encouraged bisexuality.”
When asked what drives and motivates him, Jaq says “being a pervert,” and explains his drive to educate himself on sex from a young age. He describes himself as a “sporty, alternative, weird but wholesome guy-next-door,” and who can say they wouldn’t want Jaq as a neighbor?…
Jaq gives advice for handling and preventing burn out – learning “how to say no” was a big change for him recently. We talk about the importance of taking a break from social media at times, and the value of furry family members. Jaq is a natural educator, and explains his passion for sex education as well as his passion AGAINST leaf blowers in wonderful detail in Episode 8 of SITwithNP.
We explore Jaq’s gender, sexuality, and polyamory identities and discoveries, and how freeing he has found it to realize it’s not anyone else’s business. We also talk about sex phobia in our culture, as well as Jaq’s excitement for Pride month in Amsterdam. Jaq has a ton of advice to offer other creators, has a bachelor’s degree in geology, and is an outdoorsy person even though they generally live in big cities.
Jaq talks about how much he loves making fans feel like their body is desirable, thanks to the representation in his work. He aspires to work with creators like Jiz Lee and Mahx Capacity, as well as other trans/queer creators, and to be featured in more film festivals. So far Jaq Quicksilver has been featured in three film festivals, and their short films are available on their blog.
We share in the delight of porn as art, and wrap things up on a note of thanks; Jaq says “Thank you for listening to sex workers… Thank you for loving me, and I love you, too.”
